arrangements.

Personal Assistant

Personal Assistant Services (PAS) are services needed to help an individual lead his or her preferred life style.  PAS are used to help a person with special needs do tasks that he or she would normally do if there were no disability; and are often the key to someone being able to successfully live in the home of his or her choice.

To this end, PAS are provided in the home, at school, at work and in community activities.  Each client develops a specific Personal Assistance Plan that reflects not only a detailed description of specific needs, but reflects the personal preferences and choices of the individual as well.

Services can include areas such as:  Personal Care, Domestic Chores, Transportation and Mobility, and other Related Services such as assistance with shopping, attending social events, medical appointments, work, and meal preparation.

Behavior (Respite Plus)

Respite Plus is available for clients who have significant behavior challenges and acknowledges the increased isolation they often experience.  Workers receive additional, specialized training in ProAct.

Services are:

In the family home or community at large.
Available seven days a week by scheduled appointment.
    Personal care, meal preparation, bathing.
    Age appropriate activities.

Note: Workers can transport clients in their private vehicle.  Through donated funds, we are able to offer minimal assistance with the costs for gas.  Families may need to pay for additional gas.

All costs for worker participation in community activities are paid by the client/family.

Self-Determination

We offer Personal Assistance and In-Home Respite services to clients participating in Self-Determination, via individual contracts.

We require that payment for services be through a financial management service.
